If you want to take your spaghetti to the next level you will love this recipe! This isn't one to make one an average night but it is good for a change-up or for when entertaining.
Here is what you'll need:
2lbs of beef cubes
2- 28oz cans of crushed tomatoes
1 diced whole tomato
1/4 cup diced yellow onion
1/2 cup of diced bell pepper
1/4 cup shredded carrots
1 package of Pasta
2 tbsp of tomato paste
3 tbsp of A1 steak sauce
1/4 tsp of meat tenderizer
1/2 tsp paprika
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
3 tbsp robust olive oil
1 tbsp garlic powder or 2 cloves minced
2 tbsp oregano
1/4 tsp of pepper
1/2 cup of water
Put 2 tbsp of olive oil in your large skillet and put on med/high heat. Once your pan is hot add in your onion and cook stirring constantly till they start to soften, then raise the heat to high and add in your steak sauce, meat tenderizer, paprika and your beef cubes searing your beef. Use your water to deglaze your skillet as needed. Next reduce your heat to a simmer a adding in your tomato paste and 14oz of your crushed tomatoes. Let that marry together and simmer for 15 mins, stirring occasionally. While that is simmering you can go ahead and cook your pasta in a separate pot to your desired doneness and set aside. Take your beef cubes from the pain and cut into bit size pieces. Pour everything in your skillet over into a large pot or dutch oven, add your beef back in, add in your pasta and remaining ingredients. Cover then simmer for 15 minutes stirring frequently.
Serve hot topped with a sprinkling of Parmesan and/or Pepper Jack cheese shredded.
As with all pasta dishes the longer the sauce can simmer the richer the taste.
